Sad to see that much work fall by the wayside due to lack of interest.
I think SWG is blessed by having so many knowledgeable coders that also happen to have a passion for SWG as the reality outside of SWG and other server emulators is pretty bleak. Developers are NOT a plentiful resource, even if you do rent them from India and finding developers who give a damn about a specific MMO are even harder to find. The fact that SWG has enough interested devs to fuel two emulator projects (or more) is pretty special.
sigh..if only the developers who worked for the original publishers had the same level of passion for he games they worked on, how much better the game would be. (never seemed like many of the SWG devs truly liked SWG did it? It was just another coding project to many of them, resume filler as they worked their way up the SOE food chain for a coveted spot on the EQ II dev team). Seemed the devs who did really have passion for the game were the ones that wound up leaving SOE all together.
