Greetings,

This isn't a feature update as much as it is a formal introduction of myself as an official ANH Developer.

I first started with ANH technically back in late 2006'ish when 'the' split happened between the SWGEmu team, when I used to be a forum moderator for them. Xeno took all of us with him, and for awhile we pretended to be another emu team called SWGOstrich, which was a joke by Xenozephyr. Eventually this would be come to known essentially as it is now the Zero Axis IRC network, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

I and the others were given QA memberships for ANH sometime later. Frustrated however, I left the team with a rather large angry post which highlighted my frustrations and the negative aspects I felt about ANH at the time. I have sinced apologized to snow regarding this, however I'd like to extend an apology to everyone else whom was effected by that post.

Anywho, I later downloaded Core3 by SWGEmu, and began working with their code hands on, which is essentially how I learned the C++ knowledge that I have. However my passion was still working with the client files, and I became a Client Developer alongside Uli and under DavinFelth. I was/am fascinated about planetary development, and I worked on the sandbox version of Kashyyyk with Davin, and a brand new planet of my own, named Chandrila. Working with the code more, I started the drive to the large SWGEmu patch with my jedi skill code, which was eventually accepted by the SWGEmu admins and work began on 'the' patch, which removed the bluefrog-like NPCs so that players would have to grind up their professions. However quite a few months later developed drama as I essentially left SWGEmu due to it.

I return to ANH to develop my intermediate C++ skills to work on server features, and I also bring my knowledge of client files. I'm still interested in working on Chandrila - eventually this may come true as an ANH developer will be meeting with someone shortly to help produce a tool capable of editing the TRN files, which essentially hold all of the information for each planet's terrain! However, for now I am working on medic-related skills, infact tonight I have just done roughly 3/4ths of everything related to the medic's healwound command - which will heal a player's wounds with the use of medicine. Afterwards I will be assisting Dead1ock with Bounty Hunter, and possibly the development/expanding on Missions in general, and Bounty Hunter missions. Afterwards, I will implement some Jedi skills/features. This sounds like a lot of coding to do, but it'll get done eventually, I am sure. 8-)

Incase you wanted to skip the intro and just wanted some updates, I am roughly 3/4ths into healwound, and next I shall be working on the firstaid medic ability. :)

Valkyra, welcome back to ANH. I did not get the pleasure to meet you during your first stint with ANH, but am grateful that you have shared your story. Thank you for sharing it with the community. I look forward to meeting you properly sometime in the future and will take this moment to thank you also for all the inseparable work that you are contributing to ANH now. Thank you, genuinely, so much.
